I think, I feel, I care

Note: Any one who has read my blog may come to the conclusion that I happen to blog only about issues and could possibly think that India may not be such a great nation after all. If that happens to be your conclusion,your greatly mistaken.

India is a beautiful country. the issues I discuss here are those which I am sure have occurred elsewhere too and have affected many- as an individual and as a nation. This blog, I consider proudly as my contribution to making the place a better place to live.

Cruelty! I am disgraced and embarassed and most of all, petrified with the state of government run institutions in India.

Reason: Today's news sported an incident about how an eleven year old special child was ill treated and tortured with burns, cuts and bruises inflicted in order to "bring the child to discipline".Mind you, this isnt in teh rural parts of the nation but in one of the prominent cities-Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Really upsetting to think that the poor who come seeking for help in the Government run institutions are ill treated. The child's parents left the child in the care of the public institution due to lack of funds and with hopes that their child may improve.

What did they get?
A tortured child.

Many have voiced their opinion saying that we, the public can file a litigation against the institution. In all brutal reality, the litigation would go on for years until the time when it doesnt make a difference- not to the child nor to the institution.

Pity.
Frustratingly pitiful.

Suddenly,
