  • Dad's kid?

Iv always been daddy's lil girl but in the morning today it almost felt dad became lil girl's dad :)

it was interesting to see him, sip his cup of coffee relaxing early morning listening to music as though he is embracing retirement with pleasure. the funny thing is though he is sort of retired except for the occasional consultancy work he does as and when he pleases, he has more or less been off full time employment for 2 years now. I suppose I'v noticed it only today when i was taking a tea break myself. the man i adore, respect and would do anything for, the person whom iv hardly ever seen weak or fragile, the one person who always supported me no matter what kind of stupid mistakes i made, suddenly seemed more majestic than ever, gently fragile and if i am to be extremely honest, as good as any grandpa could be :) the thought of my dad as grandpa came about when the kids at my mum's playschool referred to him so and to see the joy on his face when they did call him so.it just seemed right.

    Maybe it is right.
    Hes done enough.
    Time for his break.

    Its our turn now.
Time for me to go tell him just that :)

  • Life is?

    The cheery smile,
    the twinkling eyes,
    the active body,
    with a happy heart
    and a content soul
    living a calm peaceful life
    Now gives way,
    Way to a hurried life
    with a stressed heart
    and a worried soul
    mirrored by dull eyes
    and mirthless smile
    encompassed in a diseased body

Is this what life has become?
Or is this what we think it has become?

  • VOTE! VOTE!

    VOTE!VOTE!VOTE!

You can hear the campaign everywhere, anyday anytime.

Today my maid servant (in India) was telling me how upset she was that all the money and food given by the political parties,in the name of their wanting to improve the poor people's lifestyle is being taken by a lady in their locality who refuses to give the money or the cash. She talks of the injustice. The injustice of that lady. The injustice of her neighbours who take money and food from all the parties but dont know whose vote they are going to put.Soon my mom was telling how she saw alcohol being sold on the streets in secret which soon became obvious due to the huge crowd assembled. Is this the way to ask for votes? Is this what we, as a nation, as humans been reduced to?

She(My maid servant) talks of that injustice, the injustice she knows and experiences and is in the midst of. I speak of the injustice we can sense within the political system. Bribery. Deception. Fraud. Corruption. What is not there? This I am sure is not only my opinion but that of people all over. If this is the general opinion, Why are the elections taking place? where is the trust in the govt? The poor decide on whom to vote depending on who gives them more money. Some are coerced into voting for a particular party by the area bully coz the bully has recieved more than a pocket full from the party. The educated do so to exercise their right. In my opinion, i would prefer to shut up and not exercise my right than to choose an unworthy candidate.

    WAKE UP!

Its not about the best among those who stand for elections,
Its about the best for the country.

  • You decide but tht aint rite!!

Oooh..i better control my language before the expletives start flowing freely :)

One thing which gets my blood boiling would be when people are indecisive, ask u to make the decision nd once u do take a decision, all their smartness (which was on leave till that moment returns) and they start to reason why your decision is wrong. knock knock bozos? if u cant decide, coz u dont have the guts to accept the responsibility of the consequence of the decision u are to make, then shut your stinky mouth and move your fat ass! dont be around commenting on someone who does have the guts to make a decision and stick to it.

oops-looks like i didnt manage to control my language all that much eh :DD

  • (Extra)Ordinary

Just a random thought which struck me-

extra-ordinary is a term we generally use to say tht somethings fantastic, above average/ordinary etc but we actually split the word it would mean "more of the ordinary" if we take the literal meaning.

hmm.. a logical error or a deceptive word?
