WHAT IS GOING ON??!!
This year definitely has babies in the news!!
A couple of months ago came the news of a lady delivering her baby in the train washroom and realising it only when she comes back to her seat. Miraculously the baby lived, unhurt. Now its called "Rajdhani Radha" in memory of her birth.
Right.
Hardly a month later comes another toilet baby. But this episode unlike the other one evoked fury and disgust in me. A 11th Grade girl whose parents are doctors apparently, says she didnt even know she was pregnant and was shocked to deliver the baby in her house's washroom. Sorry, girl but you seriously need to keep an eye on your personal hygiene!The parents remark irked me more- "Our daughter has always been plump, we didnt realise she was pregnant, else we would have definitely done something about it." I'm stumped.
Sometime in between, babies got swapped and parents fighting that "the boy baby" was theirs. ARGH!! I so ache to ask the parents-"Whats wrong with a girl baby u fool? you are a girl yourself!!" Unfortunately i cant.
Next, on June 30th, Kolkata, India a woman gave birth to a premature baby boy who was declared to be a still born only to be found alive 6 hours later by a child specialist. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE???!!! As if that aint bad enough, the Chief defends his staff. Mister, what happened to your doctor on call? Why arent your nurses efficient? "Maybe the signs of life were too feeble to notice" What?! Lets say a dumb person has a heart attack. Are you going to say, sorry, we didnt hear him so we couldnt treat him?Duh!! he cant talk remember! What crap are you people dishing out?! To think that they think that this country of such huge population is gonna accept rubbish, THINK AGAIN. Atleast i wont! Seeing the Media reports(even if exagerrated) most of the country aint okay with it either!
Sigh..these four were the ones which got media attention. Goodness knows how many more..
